A couple in Hong Kong has to complete a property purchase in New Zealand. The Hong Kong couple is required by the New Zealand lawyer to provide certify true copies of the following original documents by a Hong Kong solicitor as one of the anti-money laundering measures:

• Passports: both the front page and signature page have to be signed and stamped by the HK solicitor
• Birth Certificate of each child (if the couple has children)
• Tax assessment issued by the Hong Kong Inland Revenue Department
